MRT Gaining Momentum Heading Into The Halfway Point of The Season

It took them four weeks, but Red Bull Subaru MRT showed why they are the leading squad in the NASA RallyCross Challenge as the Austrian team sealed their twenty-first one-two finish tonight in Daytona. Philip Kraus led home Joshua Chance Mertz in reverse order from the last event at the Daytona Short course, with the German playing rear gunner to his Canadian teammate after a tumultuous heat race, which then he transferred out of the LCQ. Also, in the final, it wasn’t easy for the team, as Marwan Moftah battled Mertz hard for the second spot but contact between them sent the Egyptian off the road. Marwan holds a 13 point lead over Mertz in the Championship, as Ray Kingsbury missed the final for the first time this season.
